The music of the San Francisco (by way of Oakland) indie rock'n'roll outfit Erase Errata has been compared to such eclectic experimentalists as Captain Beefheart, the Minutemen, and the Dog Faced Hermans, due to the fact that the chemical grouping posses an uncanny bent of improvising on the spotlight (claiming that they could unrehearsed a whole fix if pressed to). Comprised of members Jenny Hoyston (vocals and trumpet), Ellie Erickson (basso), Bianca Sparta (drums), and Sara Jaffe (guitar), Erase Errata in the first place formed in December of 1999 -- when the group packed in the vacant room of nonpareil of Sparta and Hoyston's roommates. The quartet forthwith proved that they had a solid chemistry, as they penned ten-spot original tunes in the duet of a half-hour. Erase Errata played out six weeks during the fall of 2000 touring alongside the likes of Melt Banana and Le Tigre, issuance a schism individual before long later on with Brooklyn, NY-based stochasticity rockers Black Dice, on the Troubleman mark. Shane MacGowan 'Must Stop Drinking', Father Says

The father of Shane MacGowan has urged his son to give up drinking.


Maurice MacGowan, 78, told the Sun newspaper that his son �must heed the doctor's advice�.


His comments come amid reports that MacGowan,� frontman of the Pogues, is suffering from hepatitis.


�He has had a very just run on the drinking but he must remember he is mortal,� Maurice said.
